Post-Election Activities and Projects in Bihar

A campaign for the establishment of the “Statue of World Republic” at Vaishali, Bihar, the mother of the world’s first republic:
It’s a well-known fact and we that Vaishali is the mother of the most ancient and world’s first republic, called Lichhvi Sangha. It dates back to the period of Lord Buddha around 600 BC. The Republic of Licchavi Sangha of Vaishali is not only the heritage of Bihar, rather the whole of India. She believes it’s a matter of great pride for the whole nation that when the world was dominated by Monarchy, Lichhvi Sangha in our historical and mythological city, Vaishali, was being run through a republican administrative system where the representatives of 7707 clans use to unanimously elect their “Raja” and take decisions through mutual consent. Moreover, their administrative system was run based on their mutually agreed decisions.

Dr Priyadarshini believed that it’s the most important heritage of Bihar. Therefore, on November 14th, 2021, in consensus with the local people of Vaishali, under the banner of “Yu- Ham Foundation”, she proposed a demand to the honourable government of Bihar and India to build a symbolic “Statue of World Republic” at Vaishali, Bihar.

On January 26th, 2022, on the eve of republic day of India, she along with the local people of Vaishali, hoisted the Indian flag and took the pledge with the holy water of “Abhishek Pushkarni Sarovar” that not to rest until the “Statue of World Republic” is build at Vaishali. For all the Indians of the world who are proud of their glorious past, the symbolic statue of the Republic in Vaishali holds multifold meanings. On the one hand, by giving a tangible form to our ancient heritage, we would be able to introduce our unmatched history to future Indian generations as well as to the world and on the other hand, it could be developed as a Most prized tourist destination of the world thus generating abundant employment and add its revenue to Bihar as well as the country.

Margdarshak Samman sah Dharohar Sanrakshan Abhiyaan

The heritage of any nation is its building blocks, which strengthen our sense of history and awaken our cultural consciousness. At the same time, if we could protect and promote them, they could attract tourists from all over the world, thereby helping in economic prosperity to the state and the country.
Inspired by this concept, she had started “Margdarshak Samman sah Dharohar Sanrakhan Abhiyan” under the aegis of “Yu-Hum Foundation” on 09/08/2021, on the day of August Kranti, from Kailash Dham Temple located in Dihari village of Bikram Assembly Constituency Patna. Under this campaign, various historical, religious or cultural heritage sites are chosen, where elders of age more than 65 years are first honoured and then the information collected from them through discussion about the site is documented in textual and digital form, which then uploaded on the website created to promote them, called www.biharkemandir.com. The plan is to put as many as possible religious, cultural, mythological and historical heritages of Bihar on this website and promote them a place of rural tourism. So far, documentation of the following temples of Bihar have been completed:

  • Kailash Dham Temple, Dihri located in Dihari Village, Bihta block, Patna.
  • Ulark Surya Mandir, Located in Ular Village, Dulhin Bazar, Patna.
  • Maa Vandevi Mahadham, located in Amhaara Village, Bihta, Patna.
  • Gambhir Baba Temple, located in Arap village, Bikram, Patna.
  • Vikramaditya Chaturmukh Mahadev Mandir, located in Basarh village, Vaishali.

Kalam Satyagrah Abhiyan

So a 6-month-long online and offline signature campaign by the name of “Kalam-Staygarah” was initiated on 19th February 2021 and successfully run under the leadership of Dr Mamtamayi Priyadarshini for revival and smooth functioning of the Trauma Centre. The purpose of “Kalam Satyagrah” was to raise the voice of people and reach out to the concerned govt. at the centre and the state, eg Health Minister of India and Bihar, chief minister of Bihar and concerned officials at centre and state as well, and put the “pain, grief and sufferings” of people in a very peaceful and dignified manner directly.

On 5th August 2021, Kalam Satyagrah culminated and more than 20000 signatures were collected. Thereafter Dr Priyadarshini, along with a delegation of 4 people from the Bikram constituency, met submitted an application in this regard to the Hon’ble Union Health Minister, Govt. of India, Mr Mansukh Mandviya on 03/09/2021 and 29/08/2021; Hon’ble Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, Dr Bharati Pawar on 03/09/2021; Hon’ble Health Minister of Bihar, Mr Mangal Pandey on 07/08/2021 and 15/11/21; Additional Chief Secretary, Health Dept., Govt. of Bihar on 07/08/2021. Krishak Kalyan Yatra

Bikram Constituency is known by the name “Dhan ka Katora”. The economic condition of the area is mostly dependent upon farming. Due to divisions among their family members, farmers are mostly left with small landholdings. There due to factors such as small landholdings, traditional farming, challenges of unpredictable weather conditions, labour crisis, the rising cost of farming raw materials etc, farmers’ economic conditions have deteriorated multi-folds. To solve this we are running a campaign through the “Kishan Kalyan Prakoshth” of Yu-Ham

Foundation, where we are trying to make them aware of Community Farming, commercial farming, trying to connect them with different central and state government schemes, farming research organisations who can train them as well as trying to connect them to different organisations who are interested to buy their commercial production.
